How to Enter Your Eyeglass Prescription Online

Before You Start

Use a current eyeglass prescription issued by a licensed eye care professional. A contact-lens prescription contains different measurements and should not be used to order eyeglass lenses. Check the patient name, examination date, expiration date, and whether the prescription includes pupillary distance (PD).

Match the Right and Left Eyes

OD refers to the right eye and OS refers to the left eye. Enter each number exactly as written and keep the plus or minus sign. A missing sign can change the lens power.

Enter SPH, CYL, and AXIS

Sphere (SPH) corrects nearsightedness or farsightedness. Cylinder (CYL) and Axis correct astigmatism. If the prescription shows no CYL value, leave CYL and Axis blank when the form allows it. Axis is normally a number from 1 to 180 and should only be entered when CYL is present.

Enter ADD and Prism Only When Prescribed

ADD is used for multifocal, bifocal, or progressive lenses. Prism may include a value and a direction such as base up, down, in, or out. Do not estimate these fields. If your prescription includes prism and the order form does not support it, contact customer support before ordering.

Add Your Pupillary Distance

PD aligns the optical centers of the lenses with your pupils. It may appear as one number, such as 63, or two numbers, such as 31.5 and 31.5. If PD is missing, ask your eye care provider or follow GOODLUUK’s PD measurement guide and repeat the measurement for consistency.

Review Before Checkout

Compare every field with the original prescription, including signs and decimal points. Confirm the lens type, frame, and any lens upgrades before submitting the order. If anything is unclear, send a clear image of the prescription to GOODLUUK support for assistance before production begins.
